WELCOME to the country roads of North Central Massachusetts. On the weekend of December 7-8, 2013 you are invited to visit our 16 shops for a fun- filled Christmas tour. Relax, shop to your heart's content at locally owned businesses and share the holiday cheer. Enjoy the hospitality, charm and warmth of family stores where folks are truly glad you stopped by. Be sure to pick up your free stamp card at any shop. Have your card stamped at each stop and be eligible to win great prizes.
This year's grand prize is a Santa from Country Mischief and gifts and gift certificates valued at over $600 from the 15 other shops. Second prize is a collection of gifts and gift certificates valued at over $300.Third place prizes are awarded to sixteen winners as a $10 gift certificate redeemable at a designated shop.
Customers are invited to cruise our beautiful back roads as they visit one of a kind country shops that believe in preserving old New England traditions. The farm stands, craft shops, and eateries participating in Country Roads will offer trees, wreaths, local food, baked goods, hand- made wood crafts, antiques, rural home decorations, fabrics, hand-crafted garments, and many other quality gifts. Our Country Roads shops are family businesses that joined together in 2005 with a common desire to promote and support the local community. The 16 shops are about 27 miles from Worcester, 32 miles from Keene, NH, 56 miles from Springfield and just 60 miles from Boston! Krafters Krossing has been open since 2006. Being a consignment shop brings in lots of local talent. Chris's eye for style is apparent as you enter the shop and find something special. Florals, hand painted signs, wood furniture, jewelry and so much more fill the store. Kirk has discovered his talent for repurposing and hand painting furniture. Special orders are welcome.

Whiting Farm began as a Christmas tree plantation on family land. Take an old-fashioned family outing to our plantation where you can chose and cut your own Christmas tree. Stop by our Carriage Shed Gift Shop for directions to the tree farm. Smith’s Country Cheese is a farmstead cheese producer. The milk used to produce our Gouda, Cheddar, and Havarti cheeses comes from our 200 Holstein cows. At our retail store you can purchase our cheese, other New England cheeses, our own ground beef, Aristocrat chicken pies, Yankee Candles, along with many unique gift items.
